

The Madness Engine
Our TTRPGs are built using The Madness Engine. A system built around the D6 (standard 6 sided dice) with varying degrees of success. Players create their desired character picking their gender, name, lineage, and then the mechanicals: Selecting their Stat Values (4 Stats) with each Stat having corresponding Skills (Similar to many other TTRPG systems). Players roll 2D6 and adding or subtracting the corresponding Bonus to hit a Target Number (TN), depending on the how close or over they go to that Target Number will dictate the level of success (Failure, Near Success, Success, or Vital Success). When rolling, if a Player rolls a 6 that dice Overloads and can be rolled again adding to the roll (Similar to other popular TTRPG systems) additionally though, this Overload can be pocketed and added to a growing Dice Pool that can be used on future rolls.

The most iconic feature of The Madness Engine is the Madness Mechanic. As players play through our games they will be balancing gameplay with their very sanity. Many factors increase this meter between 0 and 100 with the most notable being moments of extreme stress and utilization of Special Character Abilities. This provides an exciting and challenging balancing act between pushing yourself to accomplish crazier and cooler feats with your characters sanity.
